Mt Everest and the Himalayan Range from the Air

We had given up seeing a snow-covered mountain range during our Nepal trip having been disappointed time and again at all the various places in Nepal where the postcard mountains of the Annapurna and Langtang ranges were supposed to have been visible.

Perhaps the Gods took pity on us and decided to gift us with a wonderful view of the Himalayan Range with Mt. Everest as the crown jewel that we never expected to see, not then and not ever.

These photos were taken with an Olympus OMD camera using a zoom lens with an enhanced zoom feature and though we never got physically close to Everest, we truly appreciated what was presented out of the blue when our hopes seemed to have faded from our view as we boarded the plane in Kathmandu for home.

Here it is, Mt Everest!

Mt Everest - 8,848 meters or 29,029 ft above sea level, the highest mountain in the world.
It was an honour for us to have seen you!
